Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Non-smoking. Work setting: Urban area. Work in employer's/client's home. Employer's home. Tasks: Launder clothing and household linens. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties. Shop for food and household supplies. Prepare and serve nutritious meals. Cook. Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens. Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties. Tend to emotional well-being of children. Supervise and care for children. Organize, activities such as games and outings for children. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home. Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children. Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents. Bathe, dress and feed infants and children. Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents. Prepare infants and children for rest periods. Experience with special needs children: Children with a physical disability. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Reference required. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Overtime required. Repetitive tasks. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
