*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care, and medication administration, with strong knowledge of kroll software. The Pharmacist will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide optimal pharmaceutical care. *Duties* * Practice according to Alberta College of Pharmacy standards * Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of prescribed medications. * Dispense medications accurately while providing clear instructions to patients regarding their use. * Monitor patient medication therapies, making adjustments as necessary based on clinical guidelines and patient responses. * Provide patient education on medication management, potential side effects, and interactions. * Collaborate with healthcare providers in hospital or acute care settings to optimize therapeutic outcomes for patients. * Maintain accurate records of all medications dispensed and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. * Participate in clinical rounds and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions regarding patient care plans. *Experience* * A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution is required. * Active pharmacist license in the state of practice. * Previous experience in a hospital or acute care pharmacy setting is preferred. * Familiarity with pediatric medication administration is a plus. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment are essential. * Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacotherapy principles is necessary for success in this role.
