<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p><strong>Position Details:</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>• Full-time, permanent</p><p>• Hourly</p><p>• Monday to Friday</p><p>• On-Site</p><p>• NOC Code: 72106 - Welders and related machine operators</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>L</strong><strong>ocation: </strong>Oakville, ON</p><p><strong>Su</strong><strong>mm</strong><strong>ar</strong><strong>y</strong><strong>:</strong></p><p>As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a <strong>Welder</strong> for our Oakville facility. The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment reporting to a member of the management committee.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>T</strong><strong>he primary responsibilities and duties include; but are not limited to:</strong></p><p>• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications</p><p>• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma arc welding (PAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), resistance welding and submerged arc welding (SAW)</p><p>• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment</p><p>• Operate brazing and soldering equipment</p><p>• Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines</p><p>• Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.</p><p>• Welding, brazing and soldering machine operators</p><p>• Operate previously set up welding machines such as spot, butt and seam resistance or gas and arc welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts</p><p>• Operate previously set up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal parts or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal articles with solder</p><p>• Assist with the maintenance and repair of welding, brazing and soldering equipment</p><p>• May adjust welding heads and tooling according to work specifications.</p><p>• Expertly welds small, medium, and large bore of various metals and alloys.</p><p>• Performs complex mechanical installations per engineering direction.</p><p>• Works with Manager to order tools, equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for the group's job requirements following Company's policies and processes.</p><p>• Works in conjunction with other crews and lead persons.</p><p>• Work collaboratively with other team members and leadership</p><p>• Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>R</strong><strong>e</strong><strong>qu</strong><strong>i</strong><strong>re</strong><strong>m</strong><strong>e</strong><strong>n</strong><strong>t</strong><strong>s / Qualifications: </strong></p><p><strong>A</strong><strong>cademic Training:</strong></p><p><strong> </strong>• High school diploma or GED equivalent</p><p>• Current welding certification is an asset.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Work Experience:</strong></p><p>• Experience operating a grinder, drill, MIG SMAW, MIG Aluminum Welding machines, burn and heat torches, and hand and band saws.</p><p>• 1+ years of related MIG welding experience</p><p>• Aluminum experience would be an asset.</p><p>• Experience reading blueprints.</p><p>• Manufacturing environment an asset</p><p> </p><p><strong>Specific Competencies:</strong></p><p>• Ability to read labels, safety warnings and guidelines.</p><p>• Ability to learn basic computer skills to communicate via email, d- LocationOakville, ON
