*WHAT IS BUDS & BLOSSOMS?* Buds & Blossoms Buds and Blossoms is a licensed child care centre located in the heart of Cabbagetown in Downtown Toronto, offering toddler, preschool, and afterschool programs. You will have opportunities for growth within the role and have a chance to experience a variety of roles within the company. *RECE POSITION - (TODDLER CLASSROOM & SCHOOL AGE)* We are looking for a Full-time RECE lead to be in our TODDLER classroom. The RECE should be energetic, positive, engaging and innovative. our toddler program runs half days or extended hours till 2:30pm. The RECE is required to program plan and implement activities that are age appropriate. The candidate will also be required to work in our school age program during the school year. *Responsibilities* Implementing and providing daily feedback and observations relating to the curriculum established by the centre supervisor Facilitating daily indoor and outdoor activities to enhance language, motor skills, independence and problem-solving through language & literacy, music, science, art, dramatic play, etc. Able to program in a play-based and child directed environment Ensuring overall health and safety of the children enrolled in the program Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change in the work environment. Dependable and flexible to work the hours/shifts of the centre Maintain a clean and welcoming child care space for families. *Qualifications* ECE diploma or equivalent Membership in good standing with the College of ECE Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills in a child care setting working with preschool, kindergarten or school age children Proven flexibility, cooperation and willingness to share ideas and knowledge to enhance team-building Experience, knowledge and understanding of cultural diversity Understand and implement How Does Learning Happen? And CCEYA Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills Ability to spend most of the day at the child?s level Comfortable communicating with parents and stakeholders *REQUIREMENTS* * *Be registered with and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators* * *Certified in Standard First Aid & CPR/AED (Level C)* * *Have a clear Vulnerable Sector Screening from the police within 6 months of hired.* * *Current Immunization Record* * *Minimum 2 years experience working within a classroom in a childcare setting.
