This includes working as part of a team to support and assist the development, planning, delivery, design, coordination, integration, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of a new gender-based violence program. This position involves coordinating and delivering services and supports to Métis citizens on a provincial, regional, community and/or individual basis. The position will utilize an Indigenous trauma-informed survivor-centered approach to delivering services and supports to individuals, families and communities experiencing violence. The position also works with other ministries in Métis Nation BC (e.g., Mental Health & Harm Reduction, Justice, Housing & Homelessness) to ensure a holistic approach and effective coordination of services. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will work closely with government, the non-profit sector and other Indigenous communities to advocate for, and implement, Métis-specific strategies within these organizations? programs to ensure the safety and support of Métis families in BC experiencing gender-based violence or MMIWG2S+ family members.Does this role sound perfect to you, yet you don?t check every box?We at MNBC realize that qualifications and experiences may look different for everyone.
