Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Pay and receive payments for goods. Perform brake adjustments. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Liquid bulk. Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles). Equipment and machinery experience: Pumps. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Drive manual transmission vehicle. Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Sitting. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication.
