Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Work setting: Chronic care therapy center. Private practice. Rehabilitation centre and special health institution. Tasks: Assess patients' physical abilities. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Develop information materials for patients. Follow through on treatment programs with patients. Help physical therapists. Clean and maintain equipment. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Plan physiotherapy programs. Maintain supplies. Process files and paperwork. Schedule and confirm appointments. Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients. Order supplies and equipment. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Office. Area of specialization: Physiotherapy. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Work under pressure. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Attention to detail. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
