*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as HR/ Office Coordinator. This role will be responsible for administrative functions - such as staff recruitment, communicating HR policies/practices, and leading the onboarding process for new hires.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, possess office management skills, and be able to deliver on a range of responsibilities with efficiency and professionalism.
*Job Accountabilities*
* Design and implement onboarding programs for new employees, including orientation sessions and training.
* Assist new hires with completing required paperwork, and facilitate a smooth integration into the company.
* Participate in workforce planning meetings and contribute to the development of the recruitment strategies.
* Act as the primary contact for international recruitment, coordinating with foreign recruiters and supporting visa and recruitment processes.
* Provide guidance and support to temporary foreign workers pursuing Permanent Residency (PR) pathways.
* Supports the compliance of HR policies/practices, and prepare correspondence to employees.
* Welcome visitors, answer the phone and maintain a professional and organized front desk area.
* Provide general administration support to the company (i.e. reporting, filing, tracking and collect employee payments on company products, etc.)
* Maintain appropriate level of company/office inventory (reporting, filing, asset inventory, etc.)
*Qualifications*
* Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
* Previous experience in administration and familiarity of international foreign worker recruitment.
* Strong understanding of workforce-related laws and regulations.
* Outstanding organization and time management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
* Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Permanent Resident or Canadian citizen.
* Must have access to a vehicle - operation is located 20 minutes outside of Charlottetown.
*Compensation/Benefits*
PEI Mussel King is offering the following compensation/benefits for this position:
WAGE RANGE
* Starting at $20/hour (weekly payroll) - based on industry knowledge and experience.
* Full-time Permanent position - hours will vary based on industry/seasonal demands.
