*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work closely with occupational therapists to provide high-quality care to patients in various settings, including pediatrics and acute care. This role is essential in helping patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working. *Duties* * Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. * Conduct therapeutic activities and exercises as directed by the occupational therapist. * Monitor patient progress and document outcomes accurately in compliance with medical standards. * Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and home exercises to promote recovery. * Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. * Utilize medical terminology effectively during documentation and communication with the healthcare team. *Qualifications* * Experience or knowledge in pediatrics and acute care settings is preferred. * Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practices. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and team members. * Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating compassion and empathy towards patients. * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documenting patient progress.
