<p> MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR PLUMBING WATER AND WASTEWATER <p> Salary Range - $83,347 - $104,178 per year<p> 1.0 FTE Permanent<p> The Simcoe County District School Board is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Supervisor Plumbing Water and Wastewater. Reporting to the Manager Maintenance & Environmental Services, the Supervisor will be responsible for the planning, development and delivery of efficient, cost effective and regulatory compliant preventative and corrective maintenance for on-site drinking water, sewage treatment systems and plumbing maintenance and repair for all SCDSB sites. This may include the need to attend and resolve emergency or urgent situations outside of regular working hours. <p> Qualifications and Skills Required: <p> College diploma in water and wastewater. The board may consider qualified trade licence applicants with a related field experience and certification and/or the ability to complete the certification;<p> Certification in Operation of Small Drinking Water Systems for small non-municipal non-residential systems under O.Reg. 170/03. Certification is required to be maintained throughout the course of employment with the SCDSB, as this is a mandatory requirement for the position;<p> Five (5) years related experience in plumbing and/or water and wastewater, sustainable buildings/occupant behaviour and water/sewage treatment systems and associated controls;<p> Two (2) years supervisory experience, preferably in a public sector unionized environment;<p> Thorough knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements related to the operation and maintenance of water and sewage treatment systems including the Safe Drinking Water Act, Ontario Water Resources Act, Environmental Protection Act, Ontario Building Code and all other applicable regulations;<p> Experience and training in project management;<p> Excellent understanding and working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems;<p> Computer literacy and ability to work with a variety of computer software programs, such as MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, MS Teams;<p> Leadership and conflict resolution skills;<p> Excellent oral and written communication skills;<p> Excellent organizational and time management skills;<p> The successful candidate must possess a valid drivers licence;<p> The nature of this position will require the successful candidate to service large geographical areas.<p> TESTING MAY BE REQUIRED DURING THE SELECTION PROCESS. This is a full-time permanent position. The regular work year for this position is twelve (12) months of the year. The compensation range for this twelve (12) month position is $83,347 to $104,178 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This position is based on a thirty-five (35) hour work week.
