Training from senior technologists available. New Grads Welcome! *Location*: Ajax, Ontario * Diploma (Degree) in Radiography from an accredited institution. * Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO). * Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to deal effectively with patients and their families, co-workers, physicians, and other health care staff * Strong sense of personal and professional accountability, flexibility, and initiative to achieve high quality examinations and overall functioning of the department. * Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. * Patient-focused orientation and the ability to provide excellent patient care. * Work as per protocol, policies and guidelines regarding imaging, workflow and disinfection. * Must be able to work independently , assess patient capabilities and limitations and make practice adjustments as necessary. * Computer keyboarding and literacy skills. * Ensures all quality control assessments are performed as required. * Takes all reasonable precautions and work in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices. * Follows procedures for proper equipment maintenance are completed in accordance with department standards. * Ensures equipment and instruments are performing in an efficient and effective manner. * Responsible for ensuring patient identification, safety and preparation are correct prior to a scan while maintaining patient confidentiality; * Obtaining patient medical history, observing the patient during the diagnostic procedure, making note of any symptoms or changes in vital signs.
