*Job Title*: Human Resources Generalist
*Location:* Onsite ? Almonte, Ontario

*What You?ll Do:*
As the HR Generalist, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of HR services and support to our employees and leadership team. You?ll have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping a dynamic work environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Administering and educating employees on HR programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance, employee and labour relations, training, and development.
* Advising employees and Supervisors on the interpretation of Agency policies and practices, and the Collective Agreement.
* Address and mediate employee complaints and conflicts by providing fair and impartial resolutions, whether through informal or formal processes.
* Conduct investigations into employee grievances, complaints of discrimination, harassment, and other workplace violations. Document findings and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
* Prepare correspondence, policies, reports, proposals, job descriptions, policies, and other employment documentation as required.
* Support supervisors in handling performance-related issues, including providing advice on disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and terminations.
* Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
* Stay current on compliance requirements and industry best practices; recommend changes or modifications to existing policies and programs to remain in compliance, and adopt best practices where feasible.
* Ensure effective exit interviews and provide management with analysis and recommendations.
* Provide guidance to the payroll department for accurate processing of sick pay, benefits, and vacation payouts.
* Foster learning, development, and operational expertise in staff by guiding and mentoring staff through coaching and performance management.

We are searching for a proactive HR Generalist who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 3+ Years working experience as an HR Generalist/Business Partner.
* Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Office Suite and e-mail required.
* Knowledge of and exposure to the full range of human resources activities, throughout the entire employee life cycle.
* Strong knowledge of employment legislation and working knowledge of collective agreements is an asset.
* Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
* Excellent time and project management skills.
* Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
* Ability to think critically and approach issues with a solution-oriented mindset.
* Motivated individual with proven initiative.
* Strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
* Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive and private information with tact, professionalism, and discretion.
* Experience working in a unionized environment an asset.
* Working towards or CHRP Designation achieved an asset
