Position: Temporary Educational Assistant @ William Grayson School Date Posted: November 28, 2024 Closing Date: December 5, 2024 Location: William Grayson School CUPE Posting Number: 81-2024-2025 Position Type: Temporary Start Date: January 6, 2025 End Date: June 26, 2025 FTE: .50 Hours of Work: 8:45 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Duties: In addition to those duties outlined in the job description, duties include supporting students with diverse needs and/or high behavioural needs. Education & Qualifications: A minimum of Grade 12 diploma from a recognized educational institution as approved by the Board of Education or General Educational Development (GED) A minimum of one (1) year post-secondary training related to student needs such as Educational Assistant, Early Childhood Development, Youth Worker or Rehabilitation Worker (such training must be from a recognized educational institution as approved by the Employer) A valid Class 5 drivers license Physical Requirements: The ability to do heavy work is required in some assignments (ie; exerting up to 100 lbs of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to lift students and/or move objects). Wage & Benefits: In accordance with the current CUPE Local 5512 Collective Bargaining Agreement. Currently, this is a range of $20.68 to $24.62 per hour.
