Kelowna offers a more relaxed, smaller-city vibe. *The Role* As an Electrical Technologist, your responsibilities will include: * Defining client requirements; * Performing load calculations; * Preparing and updating design drawings, in collaboration with engineers; * Coordinating with cross-functional teams; * Applying the Canadian Electrical Code, Provincial Building Codes and Industry regulations to designs; * Providing construction support and interfacing with stakeholders. Compensation range is negotiable from $22/hour to $32/hour and is based on factors including experience in the industry, skill sets, and certifications. Paralynx offers an annual health care spending account at no cost to the employee, a per-km compensation for site visits, and a flexible start time each day. There is potential to earn both individual performance and company bonuses. This position is located on-site in Kelowna, British Columbia. *Qualifications* * (Required) Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology with an accredited post-secondary institution. * (Preferred) Member of ASTTBC, or eligible for membership. * (Required) Minimum of 1 year of relevant industry experience assisting in the design of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and/or multi-unit residential buildings. * Strong, working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and the BC Building Code. * Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. * Experience with Revit, AGI32 and Dialux a plus. *Traits required to be successful in this role include:* * Excellent English-language communication skills (verbal and written). * Organized, disciplined, and flexible, able to prioritize and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. * Detail-oriented, with a proven ability to complete tasks accurately. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * The ability to think on your feet. * Motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. * Superb collaboration skills with people of diverse backgrounds and personalities; respectful, tactful, and able to work effectively in a team environment. Occasional travel will be required for meetings and site visits.
