Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment. Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators and other electro-mechanical equipment. Use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts. Perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors. Perform some machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators or other parts. Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus. Excellent oral communication.
