*RESPONSIBILTIES* Responsibilities for this position are summarized below: * Perform calculations and prepare specification and detail designs for various structures in accordance with applicable codes and industry standards. * Supervise the production of design drawings. * Establish and maintain cordial, close relationships with clients or their representatives. * Lead and manage multi-disciplinary projects with various clients private and public. * Oversee or participate in on site inspections and condition investigations of various structures. * Perform evaluations of structures based on their existing condition. * Prepare technical reports and memos and participate in presentations as required. * Perform site inspections and contract administrator duties during construction phase of projects. * Review Contractor shop drawings. * Prepare and allocate budgets and prepare proposals for obtaining new work. * Work within the assigned project budget and schedule. * Perform quality control reviews of structural services provided by the Company. * Manage junior engineers, technicians, clerical staff, etc. * Report to senior management. *QUALIFICATIONS* * Degree in civil/structural engineering (preference to have Masters in Structural Engineering) * Valid, Class G Ontario Drivers License * Professional Engineer Licensed in Ontario * Minimum 10 years? experience in structural engineering * Excellent communication skills both written and spoken * Proficient with Ontario Building Code and/or Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code as well as standards for design of concrete, steel, and wood structures. * Advanced knowledge of structural analysis software * Proficient with AutoCAD, (Microstation an asset) * Proficient with Microsoft Office tools. * Experience with design of concrete, steel, and wood structures.
