Canmore Family Eyecare is looking for a licensed dispensing optician, with a minimum of 1 year experience, to work in our busy clinic in Canmore. Finding the right person for our team is crucial to us. We prioritize our customer experience and satisfaction, and hence are seeking an individual with an outgoing, fun, friendly personality. Duties of the Optician job would include (but are not limited to): -managing frame inventory -assisting clients on selecting eyeglasses (advising on lens types, material, frames and coatings) -taking measurements for dispensing of glasses including base curves, pupillary distance, bridge width, frame curvature and vertex distance -sales of frames and sunglasses -adjusting and repairing eyeglasses -troubleshooting any non-adaptation to new glasses -advise on the use and care of contact lenses-supervising of other opticians and optician students -edging of uncut lenses into new frames We are in a rural practice with full scope Optometry, and up-to-date technology. This is a permanent, full-time position, for a candidate with a Canadian opticians license, and appropriate experience. Some evenings and occasional weekends may be required.
