*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Banquet Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and management of all banquet events at our venue. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational abilities, and the capability to work collaboratively with various teams to ensure a seamless experience for our guests.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Manage banquet events, including weddings, corporate meetings, parties, and other special events.
* Work closely with sales department, culinary, operations team, and clients to ensure the events/meetings are executed smoothly.
* Ensure all event details are communicated to the team, including room setup, food and beverage requirements, and timing.
* Supervise and manage the banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and setup teams.
* Assign tasks to staff members and monitor their performance during events.
* Manage labour within budgeted guidelines
* Provide training and coaching to ensure a high standard of service is maintained.
* Oversee the setup and breakdown of banquet rooms, including arranging tables, chairs, and decor.
* Ensure all equipment is in working order and that any special requests are addressed
* Track Inventory of banquet supplies and place orders as required
* Coordinate with kitchen and catering teams to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service.
* Greet clients and guests at the beginning of events and provide assistance throughout the event.
* Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
* Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction, aiming to exceed expectations and create lasting relationships
* Assist in promoting the venue?s banquet services through marketing and sales efforts.
* Work with the sales team to upsell additional services such as decor, entertainment, or premium menu options.
* Support the sales team administration as required, meeting with clients, participating in weekly sales/FnB meetings
* Ensure all events are conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Monitor alcohol service to ensure responsible service and adherence to local laws.

*Actively participates in the Manager on Duty program*
*Other duties within the scope of the position may be assigned by Hotel Management *
*Skills & Qualifications: - *Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
* *Education*: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor?s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
* *Experience*: 3-5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
* *Skills*:
* Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle customer complaints professionally.
* Knowledge of event planning, food and beverage operations, and catering.
* *Certifications*:
* Food safety certification
* Smart Serve.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $52,000.00-$57,000.00 per year
