Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Operate buses, school busses or streetcars to transport passengers. Provide passengers with information on fares, schedules and stops. Report delays, mechanical problems and accidents. Direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures. Complete logbooks and reports. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Driver's Licence (Class 2 or B or C). Type of experience: School bus driver. Intercity bus driver. Tour and charter bus driver. Buses. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Drug test. Medical exam. Vulnerable sector check. Transportation/travel information: Driver's abstract. Travel expenses paid by employer. Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colours. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Sitting. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Client focus. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Flexibility. Judgement. Reliability. Team player.
