*Job Summary*
The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the facility while ensuring that all housekeeping staff adhere to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This position involves overseeing daily operations, training staff, and coordinating with other departments to provide exceptional service in a hospitality environment, such as hotels or resorts. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial cleaning and custodial services, along with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
*Responsibilities*
* Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
* Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and other facilities to ensure cleanliness meets hotel standards.
* Assign daily cleaning tasks to housekeeping staff and monitor progress.
* Train new housekeeping employees on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and hotel policies.
* Address guest requests and complaints regarding cleanliness or housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
* Ensure housekeeping supplies and amenities are stocked and well-maintained.
* Perform daily room cleaning to support housekeeping staff, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing supplies.
* Assist in inventory control of cleaning supplies and linens.
* Enforce safety and sanitation regulations within the department.
* Report maintenance issues and work closely with the maintenance team to resolve them.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
*Skills*
* Previous experience in housekeeping, with a minimum of 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
* Strong organizational and leadership skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
* Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
* Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting and bending.
