The *Regina Optimist Dolphins Swim Team (RODS)* in Regina, Saskatchewan is an organization that helps young people become winners in every area of their lives.
We are expanding our competitive program, and are in need of a *Part-Time Swimming Coach* to help our swimmers reach their potential. This is a new position that has been created to invest in our club?s next generation of swimmers. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is energetic, is an excellent teacher, and wants to contribute to our competitive swimmers.
The successful candidate will be working with a variety of competitive groupsat the *University of Regina Pool*, and the *Lawson Aquatic Centre*. This includes (but may not be limited to):
* Leading or assisting with our Intro to Competitive swimmers, in our Gold or Silver groups
* Potential to assist with Intro Bronze, or higher-level groups like Prospect or Junior
* Occasionally providing substitute coverage for other groups due to coach absences
The coach may also have the paid opportunity to attend local swim meets with the team where relevant. This position is a great opportunity to receive direct mentorship in coaching.
The *Part-Time Swimming Coach* will report directly to the *Head Coach*.
*Basic Requirements*
* At least *15 years old*, and must provide *valid CRC+VSC *if 18 or older (valid for 3 years)
* Prior experience in *swimming*, *coaching*, or *teaching* is very much appreciated.
* Please *clearly* outline your connection to any of these areas in your resume!
Must complete *free coach registration* and *free Respect in Sport* within *14 days of start*.
Coaches must complete the free *Swimming 101 Pre-Course e-module* within *60 days* of beginning their role. Before Nov 30th of year 2, they must complete a *Swimming 101 Portfolio*.
Wages range from *$18-22/h*, commensurate with the applicant?s experience / qualifications. Coaches are encouraged to continue their professional development, with increasing wages.

*Part-Time Swimming Coach - Tentative Schedule*
There is some opportunity for flexibility for the right candidate. Highlighted sessions are the highest priority, and preference will go to candidates that can make these times.
*Monday*
* 5:00-6:30pm: Assist or lead the Intro Gold group at the University of Regina
*Tuesday*
* May include assisting 4:15-6:00pm at the University of Regina if the coach is interested
* Could also include assisting Intro Silver 3:45-5:30pm at Lawson Aquatic Centre
*Wednesday*
* 4:15-5:30pm: Assist or lead the Intro Gold or Bronze group at the University of Regina
* 5:30-6:30pm: Assist or lead the Intro Silver Group at the University of Regina
*Thursday*
* 5:00-6:30pm: Assist with the Intro Gold group at the University of Regina
*Friday*
* May include assisting or leading 4:15-6:30pm at the UofR if the coach is interested
Coaches looking to gain additional experience with higher level groups are welcome to apply.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Contract length: 8 months
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 ? 10 per week
