Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work site environment: Outdoors. Wet/damp. In/on water. At heights. Noisy. Hot. Work setting: Fitness centre. Swimming pool/centre. Recreational or cultural centre. Tasks: Demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques. Keep logs and maintain records. Schedule activities. Supervise staff. Ensure safety of rescuers and victims at accident scenes. Assist with coordination of recreational, sport and fitness events . Understand principles of group dynamics. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required. Supervision: 3-4 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Red Cross Swimming Instructor/Life Saving Certificate. Aquatic Emergency Care (AEC) Certificate. Lifesaving Bronze Cross. National Lifeguard Service (NLS) Certificate. CPR Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.- LocationTémiscaming, QC
