<p><strong><u>Responsible for urban planning and municipal inspection for the municipality of Saint-Gervais</u></strong></p><p><u>Here's what we offer:</u></p><ul><li>Hourly salary between $32.55 and $37.20 depending on experience;</li><li>Schedule of 35 hours per week;</li><li>Vacation according to the policy in effect;</li><li>Group insurance;</li><li>Defined benefit pension plan of 13.55%. Employee contribution, employer 50/50;</li><li>Seven floating holidays;</li><li>13 statutory holidays;</li><li>Telework possible with mandatory presence of 3 days in the office;</li><li>Office closed between Christmas and New Year's Day;</li><li>Discounts at the fitness center and more.</li></ul><p><u>The responsibilities associated with the position consist of:</u></p><ul><li>Support management in developing objectives, priorities and action plans in accordance with the municipality's vision.</li><li>Ensure coordination and compliance with urban planning regulations, including visiting sites, inspecting them, implementing corrective measures, issuing permits and certificates, while carrying out follow-ups necessary;<u></u></li><li>Ensure the implementation and monitoring of the urban planning plan;<u></u></li><li>Develop, draft and update all urban planning regulations (zoning, subdivision and construction, PIIA, etc.), make recommendations on their application. Produce reports and studies relevant to the regulations;<u></u></li><li>Act as a resource person for urban planning for the municipality and provide technical support and advisory services to citizens and developers;<u></u></li><li>Prepare and attend meetings of the urban planning advisory committee. In collaboration with the CCU President, draft the minutes and ensure appropriate follow-ups;<u></u></li><li>Collaborate in drafting reports, minutes, regulations, public notices, calls for tenders and various documents;<u></u></li><li>Carry out certain tasks related in particular to access to information and monitoring of Council decisions;<u></u></li><li>Assist the general management in managing projects and ensuring their smooth running;<u></u></li><li>Carry out any other related tasks requested by the general management.</li></ul><p><u>Requirements and skills sought:</u></p><ul><li>Hold a certificate of college studies in municipal building and environmental inspection or a college or university diploma in the field (inspection, planning and urban development, environment, etc.);</li><li>Good knowledge of the laws and regulations related to the job (Q-2,r.22, LAU, zoning, subdivision, etc.);</li><li>Have a very good knowledge of Microsoft Office software;</li><li>Proficiency in spoken and written French;</li><li>Be results-oriented and have the ability to find innovative solutions;</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;</li><li>Sense of ethics, organization, rigor, leadership, autonomy, interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate are all qualities sought<b>;</b></li><li>Ability to work in a team;</li><li>Oriented towards the quality of customer and citizen service;</li><li>Possess excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing; written;</li><li>Hold a valid class 5 license.</li><li>Have experience in project management (an asset);</li><li>Knowledge of the municipal environment (an asset).</li></ul><p><u>You are interested and want to join us:</u></p><p>Qualified and interested individuals must send their resume by email.
