This is a 0.5 FTE position. Responsibilities include the provision of inpatient and office based Geriatric Medicine consultation services and participation in the General Internal Medicine on call schedule. Western Memorial Regional Hospital, a brand new, state of the art, acute care hospital opened in June 2024, is a 164-bed regional referral centre for Western Newfoundland and provides services to a population base of approximately 80,000 people. Qualifications Required Our ideal candidate will have a strong patient focus and excellent communication skills with a keen interest in practicing in a collaborative team approach. On-call service will be to the Long Term Care facilities. The successful Physician will provide care using the EMR platform. To be considered, candidates must hold a medical degree and must be eligible for licensure to practice Family Medicine by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador. Completion of an Enhanced Skills Program in Care of the Elderly (COE), or equivalent experience, is required.About Corner Brook: Living and working in Corner Brook provides the opportunity to have an exceptional work-life balance.
