*Inner City Diesel Ltd. (ICD)* is looking for a skilled *HSE Advisor* to join our team and support our mission to uphold the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental protection.
The successful candidate will be working *Tuesday to Saturday *at our Fort McMurray office in Rickards Landing (181 Robertson Road) and *MUST BE local to Fort McMurray, AB. *This position reports to the HSE Manager.
The HSE Advisor will be responsible for overseeing safety practices, conducting risk assessments, and providing guidance to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. They will assist the HSE team to ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing workplace, transportation, and site-specific safety requirements. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing all facilities comply with safety regulations, ensuring a secure environment through regular inspections, risk assessments, and the implementation of corrective measures to maintain regulatory standards.

*Responsibilities: *
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement in HSE practices across the organization.
* Coordinate regular inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance for buildings and equipment.
* Assist in the development and updates of safety manuals and all safety documentation, including but not limited to, SJPs, SWPs, and JHAs.
* Collaborate with vendors and contractors for facility-related projects and services.
* Conduct work area inspections to ensure equipment, materials, and processes do not present a safety, health or environmental hazard. Provide results to management/supervision.
* Follow standard operating procedures to identify and control non-conformance.
* Investigate and resolve health, safety, and environment related complaints.
* Investigate all situations where a worker has refused to work based on safety conditions.
* Encourage supervision and employees to participate in all safety programs and practices.
* Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing reports and recommending corrective actions
* Assist supervision and/or management with the implementation of corrective action items.
* Attend all applicable client safety meetings, as determined necessary.
* Attend safety meetings and toolbox meetings for operations as needed
* Ensure all safety statistics and documents are prepared as needed and forwarded to the HSE stakeholders.
* Deliver training on HSE procedures and programs as required
* Promptly respond to any urgent situation(s) which require HSE attention.
* Conduct oneself in a manner that always portrays our company in a professional light.
* Assist, mentor, and cooperate with other members of the team.
* Ensure customer requirements are met.
* Continually stay up to date on industry trends, safety regulations, and best practices.
* Other duties as defined by the HSE Manager
*Required Qualifications: *
* Minimum of the NCSO certification, with a Diploma or Certificate in HSE or OH&S (or related) preferred
* Minimum of 4 years proven experience with HSE
* Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
* Must have own form of transportation to and from work (public transit not available to current office location)
