Job details
Education: College/CEGEP. Work setting: Construction. Renovation. Commercial. Self-employed. Tasks: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Carpenter Trade Certification. Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Personal suitability: Accurate. Reliability. Team player. Values and ethics. Punctuality. Screening questions: Do you currently reside in proximity to the advertised location?.
