*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing patient care, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes. This role requires a strong understanding of hospital pharmacy operations, medical terminology, and medication administration, with a focus on pediatrics and acute care.
*Responsibilities*
* Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of prescribed medications.
* Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
* Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and interactions.
* Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop comprehensive medication management plans.
* Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapy as necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and inventory management.
* Educate patients and healthcare staff on medication-related topics, including proper administration techniques.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care outcomes.
*Experience*
* A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution is required.
* Current pharmacist licensure in the state of practice.
* Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred, particularly in pediatrics or acute care environments.
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration practices.
* Excellent communication skills with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Pay: $55.70-$62.88 per hour
