*Job Summary* Penny's Motel & Après Snack Bar is seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team in providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. Attached to a 13 room boutique motel, this restaurant/snack bar offers a unique experience to both staff and to our local and global guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a strong understanding of restaurant & bar operations, and a creative approach to community engagement. This role offers the unique opportunity to integrate our restaurant with the local community and leverage the distinctive ambiance of Penny's Motel. *Key Responsibilities* *1. Restaurant Operations* * Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness. * Work directly in a serving/bartending role alongside restaurant staff. * Manage and mentor the restaurant staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. * Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication and efficient service. * Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage budgets to achieve financial targets. * Scheduling Staff and responsible for filling or working emergency staff call-offs. * Inventory & Ordering of Beverages, Bar Supplies, and all things Front of House. *1. Collaboration and Integration of Restaurant and Motel Experiences* * Work closely with the Motel management to create exclusive packages and promotions that enhance the guest experience. * Collaborate on joint events that integrate the motel's ambiance, such as weekend getaway experiences, cocktail hours by the motel's outdoor spaces, or combined dining and accommodation packages. * Ensure seamless communication between the restaurant and motel teams to provide consistent and coordinated service to guests. *1. Customer Service* * Maintain a visible presence on the restaurant floor, interacting with guests to ensure their satisfaction. * Address and resolve any customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally. * Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where guests feel valued and appreciated. *Qualifications* * Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar hospitality management role. * Strong leadership and team management skills. * Excellent organizational and event planning abilities. * Ability to build and maintain relationships within the community. * Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. * Knowledge of marketing and promotional strategies. * Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and cost control. * Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations. * Familiarity with POS systems. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. *Benefits:* * Base wage of $18 - $22 per hour. * Gratuities. * Employee discounts at Penny's Motel & Apres Snack Bar. * Health and wellness benefits package. * Opportunities for professional development and career growth. * A dynamic and supportive work environment. *Application Process: * Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter detailing their experience and vision for the role.
