Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. Tasks: Plan and direct grounds maintenance. Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work. Maintain work records and logs. Repair and maintain equipment. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Weed, prune and trim trees and plants. Remove litter and garbage. Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees. Lay sod or seed. Cut grass. Cart and spread topsoil and other materials. Assist with landscape constructions. Apply fertilizers. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Rake and collect refuse. Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling.
