*Overview:* Pharmasave Pharmacy in Niagara Falls is seeking a dedicated and experienced *Part-Time Pharmacy Assistant*. In a community pharmacy setting, you will have the opportunity to take on a variety of roles, learn new skills, and grow as the pharmacy operation evolves. *Responsibilities and Duties Include:* * Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. * Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. * Process prescriptions and maintain patient records with attention to detail. * Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy policies. * Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and ensure stock is well-maintained. * Maintain a clean and organized work area and dispensary. * Prepare Blister Pack medications in accordance with legal requirements. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. * Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining cleanliness in the pharmacy. * Operate the cash register and assist with customer transactions. * Carry out other pharmacy-related duties as assigned by management. *Qualifications and Skills:* * Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or Technician. Kroll experience is a must. * Proficiency in MS Windows is required. * Strong customer service skills with a professional and courteous attitude. * Proven reliability in previous work experience. * Ability to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. * Positive attitude toward work and customer interactions. * Experience with compliance packaging is preferred. * In-depth knowledge of Canadian drug names and pharmaceuticals. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information. * Experience with compounding and/or methadone is preferred. * Multilingual abilities are an asset and preferred. *Job Type: *Permanent. Part-time. Shift and schedule: Flexible and open. The pharmacy is currently open Monday to Saturday. Sunday hours will begin in the summer, and weekend availability may become a requirement. Occasional after-hour clinic shifts (approximately twice a month) and weekend shifts may be required. *Expected hours:* 16-20 per week *Competitive pay based on experience: *$18.00 ? $20.00 an hour Benefits: Paid time off, Store discount Work Location: Pharmasave Pharmacy, Niagara Falls, ON. In person at the store. No provisions for work at home. Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
