*Job Overview*
We are seeking a skilled Expansion Joint Estimator/ Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in drafting and design, utilizing various software tools to create detailed schematics and technical drawings. This role is essential in supporting our engineering and design teams, ensuring that all projects are executed with precision and accuracy.
*General Accountability:*
Designing, drawing and estimating of Expansion Joints for Production and Quoting.
*Responsibilities*
1. Create/ Modify drawings for quotes and production orders
* Prepare drawings for quotes as required
* Prepare drawings for Customers
* Prepare Drawings for Production use in our shop
* Prepare Drawings for use by our suppliers
* Support the shop with drawings, dimensions and layouts
2. Prepare Estimates
* Prepare Quotes based on customer requirements using quoting tools and Odoo ERP System
* Prepare Bill of Materials from Drawings in Odoo ERP system
* Prepare Work Orders in Odoo ERP System
* Prepare shop packages as paper copy and computer files
3. Site Visits
* Visit Customer sites for details on Expansion joint requirements.
* Support role for Sales at Customer sites
4. Other Duties as assigned.
5. Employer will provide appropriate safety training, relevant product training plus suitable general orientation and supervision.
*Qualifications*
* Diploma in Technical Program from Community college
* Min 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing & steel fabricating environment
* 3+ years of experience creating drawings, BOM and Work Orders
* Proficiency in ERP Systems and Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills
* Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
* Effective time-management and organizational skills
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Well-developed planning, and problem-solving skills
* Detail-oriented, flexible, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
* Strong strategic, continuous improvement mindset
* Fluent in English ? written and spoken
