The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, a commitment to working with neurodiverse children, and a passion for helping students succeed.<p>Key Responsibilities:<p>Collaborate with the classroom teacher and Learning Resource Teacher by,<p>Providing classroom support to students with varying levels of need both one on one and in small groups<p>Supervising and supporting students during independent work and group activities<p>Helping to implement individualized education plans for students<p>Tracking learning goals related to the individualized education plan<p>Participating in Grade-level meetings with the classroom teacher and Learning Resource Teacher<p>Attending and participating in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required<p>Interacting professionally and discretely with students, parents, and other staff<p>Qualifications:<p>Certification in education or related field is preferred<p>Experience working with children with neurodiverse abilities is preferred<p>Strong organizational and communication skills<p>Ability to work as a team member and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff<p>Practicing Catholic applicants are preferred<p> <p>Questions regarding this job posting may be directed to, Principal Carolyn Smillie, at csmillie @cisva.bc.ca. <p>Short-listed candidates will be contacted for an interview.<p>APPLICATION PROCESS <p><p> 1.
