*Position Summary:* We are looking for a passionate and experienced *Pickleball Coach* to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coaching pickleball, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with players of varying skill levels. As a Pickleball Coach, you will be responsible for developing and executing training programs, helping players improve their skills, and preparing them for competition. *Key Responsibilities:* *Player Development:* * Lead group and individual coaching sessions to improve players? pickleball skills (e.g., serving, footwork, volleys, dinks, etc.). * Design and implement training programs that cater to different skill levels, from beginners to advanced players. * Monitor players' progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide personalized feedback. * Introduce players to advanced strategies, such as court positioning, shot selection, and mental toughness. *Competition Preparation:* * Help players prepare for local, regional, and national pickleball tournaments. * Analyze opponents? playing styles and develop tailored strategies for individual players or doubles teams. * Provide mental and physical support during tournaments, ensuring players are ready to perform at their best. *Skill & Fitness Training:* * Incorporate fitness and conditioning drills tailored for pickleball players. * Guide injury prevention, stretching routines, and overall physical wellness. * Work with players on improving agility, balance, and hand-eye coordination for better performance on the court. *Private and Group Lessons:* * Offer private one-on-one lessons for players looking for personalized coaching. * Run group lessons and clinics, creating an engaging and supportive environment. * Organize and conduct pickleball camps, workshops, and skill-building sessions. *Court Management & Maintenance:* * Ensure the pickleball courts are well-maintained, safe, and ready for training and play. * Work with facility management to ensure that courts are properly marked, nets are up to standard, and equipment is in good condition. *Administrative & Logistical Support:* * Maintain training schedules and coordinate with players, families, and staff for tournament participation and event scheduling. * Track player progress and provide regular updates to parents or team managers (if applicable). * Assist with organizing pickleball events, leagues, and tournaments. *Qualifications:* * *Experience:* At least 2-3 years of coaching experience in pickleball, with a solid understanding of both basic and advanced techniques. Previous experience working with youth or adult players is a plus. *Skills:* * Strong knowledge of pickleball rules, strategies, and techniques. * Ability to communicate effectively with players of different ages and skill levels. * Passion for teaching and helping players improve their skills. * Organizational and administrative skills, including managing schedules, events, and player progress. * Proficiency in singles and doubles formats, with the ability to teach both. *Physical Requirements:* * Ability to demonstrate pickleball techniques and lead on-court drills. * Physical fitness to actively participate in coaching and conditioning activities. * Ability to set up and maintain pickleball equipment. *Work Environment:* * Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on training schedules, events, and tournaments. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $17.55-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 ? 40 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Casual dress * Flexible schedule Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Evening shift * Monday to Friday * Morning shift * Weekends as needed Work Location: In person- LocationPickering, ON
