*Position Overview* Santec Canada is looking to add a Software Developer to the team. Reporting to the R&D Manager, the Software Developer will be responsible for debugging and extending existing software programs to support the organizations fiberoptic test equipment. The R&D team is also looking to develop several new core software programs which interface with and run our fiberoptic test equipment. The Software Developer would be tasked with building and maintaining a complete desktop software package using Santecs' existing philosophy and frameworks and would be heavily involved in all stages of design and development. This role involves working closely with actual fiberoptic hardware and the ideal candidate would be curious and open to learning about how the hardware works and how it is used by our customers *What We Offer* * Benefits * Group RRSP * Fitness membership allowance * Flex-time * On-the-job training * Free coffee and snacks * Positive work environment *Responsibilities* * Design, develop, code, test, debug, integrate, document and participate in full life cycle of core software products * Maintain and modify existing software as necessary to meet unique product needs * Perform other job-related duties as assigned *Requirements* * Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent * Minimum of 2 year?s experience in a similar role * Comfortable using Visual Studio * Working knowledge of C#/.NET or equivalent * Advanced computer skills with proficiency in object-oriented programming * Excellent communication skills * Strong attention to detail * UX design experience is an asset * Experience in JavaScript asset Santec Canada offers a dynamic work environment for talented individuals looking for employment in the field of fiber optic communications.
