Candidates must be located on Vancouver Island. *Duties and Responsibilities:* * Maintains the hotel rooms and building to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, ambassadors and vendors * Maintains carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion to enhance efficiency and ease of cleaning rooms * Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms, public areas and hallways * Washes shower walls and tub, cleans toilets and stall walls. Wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sinks and walls in order to have clean and sanitary guest and public restrooms * Replaces towels, soaps and all room amenities and restocks literature that has been removed, and to ensure adequate supply for arriving guests * Washes all hard floor areas (linoleum, tile, etc.) to remove dirt and soiled areas * Dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures and wall hangings * Strips bed of all linens and remakes with fresh linens * Checks closet for cleanliness, wiping closet door, handle and overhead shelves and restocking the guest room supplies (eg., hangers, extra blankets, extra pillows) * Vacuum rooms, public areas and hallways * Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous attitude * Laundry related tasks * Other duties as assigned *Qualifications & Skill Requirements:* * Physical mobility and stamina. * Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment * Able to take direction and follow instructions, requirements and regulations. * Ability to work a flexible schedule include weekends and holidays *Benefits:* * Sign-in bonus of $200 after 3 months * Salary increase of ($1) one dollar after probation. * Job security * One free staff meal per day * Professional hotel standard training will be provided * Employee assistance program * Flexible schedule * Employee discount at Coast Hotels * Employee discount at DI Restaurant and Lounge Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour Additional pay: * Tips Benefits: * Dental care * Discounted or free food * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * Flexible schedule * On-site gym * On-site parking * Store discount * Wellness program Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Every Weekend * Weekends as needed Experience: * housekeeping: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationCampbell River, BC
