*313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Apprenticeship* CULLITON is seeking a motivated individual to join our service team as an HVAC apprentice, serving customers across southwestern Ontario. A 313A HVAC apprenticeship is an investment in yourself. With the right company supporting you, your apprenticeship is your opportunity to get in and go far. An 313A ? Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic apprenticeship takes typically five years to complete and at the end you will become a certified Journeyperson. *An Apprenticeship at CULLITON Includes: * * 5-term apprenticeship, requiring 9000 hours of work experience to complete * The mentorship of experienced journeyperson HVAC technicians * Required time off to complete three levels of trade school * Tuition assistance for Gas Technician licensing, up to Gas Technician 1 * Access to a company vehicle, phone, tools, and equipment * Annual boot allowance of $500 * Competitive hourly wages. The pay scale for HVAC apprentices ranges from: $22.40/hour - $51.24/hour (determined by term and Gas Technician licensing) * Company benefits after three months of service, including dental care, long-term disability insurance, extended health care, life insurance, and vision care * Joining the company pension plan after two years of employment * Vacation and paid time off *Your Responsibilities * In addition to completing your apprenticeship, you are responsible for championing the CULLITON brand and delivering utility, comfort, and peace of mind to ICI facilities. Duties will change throughout your apprenticeship, and will include: * Putting safety first! This means understanding and following: the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), related federal, provincial, and municipal guidelines and laws, all CULLITON health and safety policies, and all site-specific health and safety standards and protocols. * Assist in housekeeping and other duties at the CULLITON shop in Stratford, completing various assigned tasks to help operations run efficiently. * Work with and under the supervision of a journeyperson, within the limits of company policy and trade certification. * Be dispatched and execute the assigned work in a manner that maximizes efficiencies, productivity, and profitability. * Complete and assist installations, troubleshooting and diagnosis, and maintenance of HVAC equipment in a manner that meets or exceeds industry standards and applicable codes. * Provide thorough and accurate reports upon completion of work, to ensure accurate and timely billing. * Identify service opportunities, create detailed quotes, and collaborate with the estimating team to deliver HVAC system performance improvement suggestions that target customer energy efficiency objectives, reliability, safety, and peace of mind. * Respond promptly to customer service requests while scheduled for on-call duty. * Deliver a high standard of customer service. *Need to Have * * Completed high school or equivalent * G driver?s license with a clean driving record * Must be able to pass a criminal record check, a vulnerable sectors check, and/or obtain federal level security clearance, as needed * Ability to climb ladders, work above shoulder height for extended periods of time, and work in awkward and/or tight positions * Open to flexible scheduling once part of the on-call team *To succeed in an HVAC service career, you need to: * * Value integrity, quality, and teamwork * Have strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills * Have a mechanical aptitude * Be able to provide outstanding customer service * Work fast-paced and have a strong work ethic * Learn and adapt quickly to changing technology *About CULLITON * CULLITON is a leading multi-trade contractor, providing mechanical, electrical, and HVAC installations and service to the industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) sectors in Southwestern Ontario.
