<p>SUMMARY OF THE POSITION<br>A person who is responsible for providing nursing care services according to the bio-psycho-social needs of users or groups under her/his care. She/he evaluates the health condition of users, as well as determines and implements nursing care and treatment plans. She/he provides nursing and medical care and treatment aimed at maintaining and restoring health, as well as preventing disease. </p><p>She/he plans, provides and evaluates teaching activities intended for the users, their relatives and groups of people. In addition, she/he participates in research activities aimed at promoting health and preventing disease.</p><p>SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:<br>Under the authority of the Nursing Coordinator, the nurse provides services to clients of all ages, including a large proportion of pediatric clients. The Chisasibi Regional Hospital has 29 beds for acute care (5 pediatric), chronic care and respiratory care. In addition to the permanent general practitioners in Chisasibi, various specialists visit the territory on a regular basis to provide services in obstetrics, surgery, pediatrics, orthopedics, internal medicine, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology and psychiatry.</p><p>The mobile nurse will work in the following departments: Medicine and emergency according to the needs determined by the immediate supervisor.</p><p>Education:</p><ul><li>Member of the Order of Quebec Nurses (O.I.I.Q.);</li><li>DEC in Nursing.</li></ul><p>Experience:</p><ul><li>Minimum of two years' experience in different sectors of a hospital;</li><li>Experience in emergency, pediatrics, obstetrics (an asset).</li></ul><p>Knowledge and Abilities: * Knowledge of Cree culture and social and health issues in Eeyou Istchee is an asset; * Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills; * Good resistance to stress;* Excellent communication and listening skills;* Take initiative and be autonomous; * Open to other's culture, ability to adapt to change and to a new environment;* Show interest and empathy towards others; * Possess a capacity for analysis and synthesis.</p><p>Language:</p><ul><li>Fluent in English; </li><li>Fluency in Cree or French is an asset.</li></ul><p>Other: * This position could include on-call periods.</p>- LocationMontréal, QC
