*Overview* We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Category Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing and procurement of products within your designated category. Your expertise will drive vendor management, optimize supply chain processes, and ensure that our purchasing strategies align with the company's objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of market trends to effectively manage pricing and inventory. *Key Responsibilities: * · Identify and evaluate new suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors. · Negotiate contracts and long-term agreements, secure competitive pricing, and ensure timely delivery of products. · Build and nurture positive relationships with suppliers, facilitate smooth communication and prompt issue resolution. · Analyze procurement costs and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. · Conduct regular market testing of key procurement items and track cost savings and cost avoidance. · Oversee the accuracy of invoicing and ensure proper entry of bills into the system. · Ensure all purchased materials and services meet quality standards and align with specifications. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines. · Organize and maintain manuals, documentation, and historical purchase records for future reference. · Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions to make well-informed purchasing decisions. *Qualifications: * · Exceptional multitasking abilities, keen attention to detail, and strong time management skills. · Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. · Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet-based research tools. · Knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, and business principles is a plus. · Familiarity with grocery operations or similar industries is advantageous. · High level of integrity and discretion in handling business and employee matters. · Written and oral Russian considered as an asset. · Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. *Training & Development: * Successful candidates will receive comprehensive on-site training to support their professional growth and smooth integration into our team. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $54,000.00 per year Additional pay: * Bonus pay Schedule: * Monday to Friday Education: * Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationOttawa, ON
