*Job Overview* We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be someone who can paint to a class leading level with less than 4% rejects and control film build within 2 mils over 80% of all readings per week. We are seeking an auto body shop level technician able to maintain quality while painting on a moving conveyor line at speeds of up to 7 feet per minute. · Responsible for ensuring parts are painted properly according to customer specifications while meeting all quality standards. · 5+ years of powder coating experience · 5+ years of experience with painting on a conveyor system line · 5+ years of experience with paint involving wash stages · Knowledge of reading part blueprints and knowledge of maintaining paint line functionality. · Experience with aluminum extrusions and steel · Able to set up automatic spray guns · Able to control film build to +/- 1 mils · Experience with metallic colours a plus · Ability to change colour and clean booth multiple times during the shift to ensure no color contaminates the other · Apply powder coat and adjust equipment to ensure proper coverage · Understands, maintains and operates mechanical functions of equipment in powder coat area · Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure proper functionality · Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work · Maintain regular and prompt attendance · Ability to stand, bend, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. · Must be fluent in English · Must be authorized to work full time in Canada · Candidate will be required to join a union Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $24.48-$28.00 per hour Expected hours: 41.5 per week Additional pay: * Bonus pay * Overtime pay Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * RRSP match * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Overtime Experience: * Industrial painting: 5 years (preferred) Language: * English (preferred) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-11-04- LocationMississauga, ON
