*Job Description:*
We are looking for a talented and dedicated *Electrical or Mechatronics Engineer* to joinour team. In this role you will have the responsibility of researching and developing a wide range of microfluidic technologies, from medical diagnostic devices to environmental monitoring systems, and collaborate with a team of expert engineers and scientists across nanotechnology, biochemistry, mechatronics, biomedicine, and industrial engineering. On a day-to-day basis, you will be expected to:
* Design, develop, and implement PCBs and other electromechanical systems for microfluidic devices that improve healthcare and environmental outcomes;
* Develop mechanical fixtures and modules for evaluating the PCBs, electromechanical systems, and microfluidic devices;
* Write and execute preliminary firmware to test and validate the PCBs and electromechanical systems;
* Maintain a clean and organized working environment, and accurate and organized records of experimental data;
* Identify and troubleshoot issues related to the systems and devices in development in a timely manner;
* Analyze, prepare, and present technical reports and documentation for internal team members, external stakeholders, and a structured Quality Management System;
* Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, ethics guidelines, industry standards, and company policies and procedures;
* Support procurement and timely delivery of required equipment and materials;
* Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues to ensure successful completion of projects;
* Stay up-to-date with current advancements and trends in mechatronics engineering.
*Requirements and Qualifications*:
* Four-year bachelor?s or master's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering or similar from an accredited Canadian university or international equivalent,
* 1-3 years? experience working in industry and a portfolio showcasing previous work;
* High proficiency in Fusion 360 for MCAD and ECAD;
* Ability to analyze, understand, and solve problems of varying nature and complexity;
* Ability to work independently and within a team of other professionals;
* High degree of organization, time management, prioritization skills;
* Excellent oral, written, and visual communication skills;
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
* Experience working under a Quality Management System is an asset; and
* Experience in and knowledge of microfluidics is an asset.
