<p><b><span>With a career at The Home Depot, you can be yourself and also be part of something bigger.</span></b><br> </p><p><b>Position Overview:</b></p><p>The Lot Associate's primary responsibility is to load orders into customer vehicles and ensuring the parking lot is safe and welcoming for the customer. Customer service and GET behaviours play a vital role in this position, as the Lot Associate is often the first and last Associate to interact with a customer.</p><p><br><b>Key Responsibilities:</b><br>Ensures Customer Satisfaction</p><ul><li>Following Home Depot?s GET Model of customer service including Greeting, Engaging, and Thanking the customer.</li><li>Maintain a sufficient quantity of carts near the entrance of the store.</li><li>When required, ask open ended questions about the customer?s projects in order to determine their needs and level of expertise.</li><li>Approach customers to determine if they need help loading product into vehicles and/or shopping carts.</li><li>Plan the best method of loading and securing merchandise in customer?s vehicle as per Safe Loading Training.</li></ul><p><br>Maintains Safety and Security</p><ul><li>Ensure that all exits/loading areas are not blocked or cluttered; sweep and clean debris off front apron and lumber loading pad.</li><li>Follows all Safety and Loss Prevention policies and procedures.</li><li>Using appropriate safety procedures with all equipment.</li></ul><p><br><b>Competencies:</b></p><ul><li>Communicates Effectively</li><li>Customer Focus</li></ul><p><br><b>Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Interpersonal skills</li><li>Organizational skills</li><li>Attention to detail</li></ul><p><br><b>Direct Manager/Direct Reports:</b></p><ul><li>Front End Supervisor</li></ul><p><br><b>Travel Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>None</li></ul><p><br><b>Physical Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items</li></ul><p><br><b>Hybrid Work:</b></p><ul><li>Dependent</li></ul><p><br><b>Working Conditions:</b></p><ul><li>Working within a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekends.</li><li>Warehouse environment that can be dusty and noisy.</li><li>Working in all weather conditions - frequent exposure to different weather conditions when loading and unloading product.</li><li>Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes.</li></ul><p><br><b>Minimum Education:</b></p><ul><li>Highschool Diploma or Equivalent</li></ul><p><br><b>Minimum Years of Work Experience:</b></p><ul><li>1 to 2 years Retail experience</li></ul><p><br><b>Minimum Leadership Experience:</b></p><ul><li>NA</li></ul><p><br><b>Certifications:</b></p><ul><li>NA</li></ul><p><br><b>Other Requirements/Assets:</b></p><ul><li>NA</li></ul>
