*Job Summary* We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of design, graphic computer applications, and traditional media requirements. This role involves creating artwork for various digital platforms as well as traditional media. As our customers are located primarily within a two kilometer distance from our retail store (potentially two stores) - social media and SEO are less effective in driving traffic - local activity (advertising, promotion, video wall, public transit, and word-of-mouth) is most effective and is our primary focus. *Responsibilities* * Develop and design visually appealing graphics for websites, marketing materials, advertising, promotion, and other media activity. * Collaborate with stake-holders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality artwork that meets deadlines and promotional objectives.. * Create branded elements, advertising and promotional materials that reflect the company?s vision, values, and professionalism. * Utilize typography effectively to enhance the impact of all public communication. * Produce motion graphics for video content as needed. * Maintain an organized library of design assets and ensure consistency across all visual communications. * Preference will be given to candidates with strong illustrative skill. * Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in graphic design, digital media, QR coded and other technology. *Qualifications* * Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential. * Experience with CorelDraw is a plus. * Propensity to accurately determine, set, and responsibly meet deadlines. * Strong skills in digital design, typography, logo design, and motion graphics. * Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems is desirable. * A portfolio showcasing your previous work is required for consideration. * Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Strong English language communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
