We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations of our dental office, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients while handling administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and proficiency in dental software systems.
*Responsibilities*
* Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.
* Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar effectively.
* Handle incoming calls using phone systems, addressing patient inquiries and concerns professionally.
* Maintain accurate patient records using electronic dental records (EDR) in AbelDent.
* Process patient information and verify insurance details prior to appointments.
* Assist with billing inquiries and coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth operations.
* Keep the front desk area organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
* Collaborate with dental professionals to facilitate a positive patient experience.
*Qualifications*
* Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a dental office is beneficial.
* Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
* Proficiency in using AbelDent dental software is highly desirable.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required for managing patient records and appointments.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
* Knowledge of office procedures, front desk operations, and customer service best practices is beneficial.
* Spoken and written proficiency in English is essential. French proficiency is an asset.
Beacon Hill Dental Centre is looking for a full-time dental receptionist to join our amazing team. No evenings or weekends. Responsibilities include keeping all providers fully scheduled and busy, including calling patients using short notice or unscheduled lists, etc. Answering telephone, sending emails, providing excellent customer service, scheduling appointments, taking payments, sending claims to patients' insurance, obtaining all forms from new patients. Follow up with patients for unscheduled treatment or pre-determinations. Must be highly motivated, have excellent communication skills and problem solving skills. Spoken French would be an asset.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 ? 36 per week
