Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Odours. Tasks: Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Inspect agricultural products. Inspect products to detect harmful diseases, chemical residues, or infestations. Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports. Prepare reports. Examine storage, handling and transportation equipment to ensure that sanitary procedures are followed. Inspect the cleanliness and practices of establishment employees. Investigate consumer and trade complaints. Technical experience: Can, package and container inspection. Import and export products. Sampling. Sanitation and hygiene. Warehouse and storage facilities. Grading. Area of work experience: Commercial and industrial inspection. Product inspection experience: Canned products. Frozen products. Pacific groundfish and primitive species. Dried fish products. Area of specialization: Agriculture. Salt water fish. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail.
