<p><b>What we are looking for:</b></p><p>We are currently looking for a diligent, experienced, responsible and punctual person to complete our team as a <span> </span><i><b>Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.</b></i></p><p><b>Main tasks:</b></p><ul><li>Inspect and repair heavy vehicles in the garage and/or on site, in accordance with the maintenance program for each vehicle;</li><li>Ensure the proper functioning of equipment, detect any defects and determine the nature of the problem;</li><li>Repair the pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems of heavy vehicles;</li><li>Perform general workshop work (grinding, drilling, sharpening, cutting, etc.);</li><li>Perform troubleshooting using software diagnostic;</li><li>Research manuals and software to find the information needed to perform maintenance and repairs of all kinds;</li><li>Perform general and preventive maintenance on heavy vehicles;</li><li>Perform welding tasks when necessary;</li><li>Complete work orders in accordance with company procedures;</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times;</li></ul><p><b>Skills:</b></p><ul><li>A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position;</li><li>DEP in heavy vehicle mechanics or any other relevant training;</li><li>Have general knowledge of electricity, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic principles;</li><li>Knowledge of SAAQ standards;</li><li>Know how to use the devices diagnostics;</li><li>Know how to use a welder and torches;</li><li>Basic knowledge of a computer;</li><li>Have a Class 5 driver's license (an asset);</li><li>Know how to operate equipment such as overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts, aerial work platforms and other garage equipment (an asset);</li><li>Have certification to handle refrigerant gases (an asset);</li><li>Have an ASP certificate for construction sites (an asset);</li><li>Have the strength, endurance and energy to lift and transport weights, to remain standing continuously and to work in restrictive working conditions;</li><li>Work consistently and in compliance with safety standards.</li></ul><p>We base our values on health and safety at work, respect for the environment and responsible consumption.
