Job Title: Financial Controller Location: Remote or Hybrid (occasional in-office meetings) *About Dexypaws* Dexypaws is a female-led pet accessories brand dedicated to crafting aesthetically pleasing, high-quality products that are both functional and affordable. Rooted in a love for pets and a mission to empower women in business, we?re excited to welcome a dedicated Financial Controller to keep our finances on track as we grow. *Role Overview* As Financial Controller, you will manage Dexypaws' financial operations, ensuring accuracy in bookkeeping, budgeting, reporting, and cash flow management. Your expertise will be essential in supporting our financial health as we expand. Proficiency in NetSuite is required to maintain our financial systems seamlessly. *Key Responsibilities* * Bookkeeping, Reconciliation & Records: Maintain accurate financial records and manage the general ledger. * Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, cash flows, and other critical reports to guide strategic decisions. * Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and monitor budgets to align with our financial goals. * Accounts Payable & Supplier Payments: Oversee timely, accurate supplier payments and accounts payable. * Cash Flow Management: Monitor inflows and outflows to maintain healthy cash flow. * Compliance & Tax Filings: Ensure regulatory compliance and support tax filings as needed. * Financial Strategy: Provide insights and recommendations to drive sustainable growth. * External Partnerships: Coordinate with external partners, to optimize financial operations and compliance. * Internal Controls: Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance in all financial operations. *Qualifications* * Experience: CPA with 3+ years in financial management with proven NetSuite proficiency. * ERP Implementation: Experience with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite implementations, is an asset. * Tax & Customs Knowledge: Understanding of the Canadian and US tax and customs environments, with experience in cross-border regulatory requirements. * Intercompany Transactions: Knowledge of intercompany transactions, including their financial and regulatory impacts. * Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with consumer goods, retail, or e-commerce is a plus; experience in the pet or lifestyle sector is advantageous. * Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret financial data and offer strategic recommendations. * Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple financial functions concurrently. * Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for cross-team collaboration. * Proactivity: Self-starter who can work independently and meet deadlines. *Why Join Dexypaws?* * Join a purpose-driven, female-led company that values community and creativity. * Work remotely with flexible hours in a fast-growing, innovative pet brand. * Contribute directly to shaping Dexypaws? financial future. *To Apply:* Send your resume and cover letter to hr@dexypaws.com with the subject line "Financial Controller ?
