*Overview* The Youth Worker plays a vital role in supporting and guiding young individuals in their personal, social, and educational development. This position involves working closely with children and adolescents to foster a safe and nurturing environment that encourages growth and learning. The Youth Worker will engage with youth through various activities, providing mentorship, education, and support to help them navigate challenges and achieve their goals. *Duties* * Develop and implement educational programs and activities tailored to the needs of youth. * Provide guidance and support to children in various settings, including schools, community centers, or recreational programs. * Foster positive relationships with youth to encourage open communication and trust. * Monitor the well-being of youth participants and address any behavioral or emotional issues as they arise. * Collaborate with parents, educators, and community organizations to promote the best interests of the youth. * Facilitate group discussions and workshops on relevant topics such as conflict resolution, self-esteem, and life skills. * Maintain accurate records of youth participation and progress for reporting purposes. *Qualifications* * Experience working with children or adolescents in a mentoring or educational capacity is highly desirable. * Strong communication skills to effectively engage with youth from diverse backgrounds. * Ability to educate and inspire young individuals through creative programming and activities. * Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting youth development. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. * A diploma or degree in Child and Youth work, social work, education, psychology, or related fields is preferred.
