Join our Electrical Automation Division , a dynamic team of automation professionals delivering world class automation and machine control systems to a global market.
Allied Industrial Dynamics is seeking an Electrical Engineering new graduate with an interest in automated control systems. Reporting the General manager Electrical Automation you will be assisting in the design and programming of new control products containing PLC?s , VFD?s low voltage distribution systems and graphical user interfaces. Allied Industrial Dynamics is located in Calgary with offices in Toronto and the USA. You will be working as part of a multi discipline team consisting of project managers, production managers and engineers.

*As the successful candidate, you will:*
* Work independently and as part of a team to complete control and automation engineering design deliverables for a variety of projects.
* Prepare Control and Automation deliverables, including but not limited to:
* Single line diagrams
* Control panel layouts
* Bill of materials
* Wiring Schematics
* Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
* Procurement packages for instrumentation and plant control system equipment (specifications, technical bid evaluation, vendor data review)
* Engineering Lists (Instrument Index, I/O Lists, Cable Schedules, material take-offs)
* Design Deliverables (Interconnection diagrams, Loop Drawings, Layout drawings, Installation drawings, Control Panel Layouts, Control System Architecture)
* Functional Descriptions and Control Philosophy
* Programming using PLC?s
* Develop factory acceptance test and software acceptance test checking procedures
* Assist our senior engineers and designers with their responsibilities including but not limited to checking engineering deliverables, attending design reviews, quality reviews and participating in site inspections and walkdowns.
* Willing and able to travel to project sites (office and construction) including remote site locations.
*You bring to the role:*
* Must be graduating no later than 2025 , or recently graduated, with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited Canadian University.
* Interest in Control Systems Engineering and Communication Systems will be considered an asset.
* Previous co-op or work terms in the controls, automation and electrical engineering design and execution will be considered an asset.
* Technical experience in AutoCAD, Solid Works, Excel, Microsoft Power Point
* Previous PLC programming and ladder logic experience

Rate: $35 hr with performance increases .
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
