Responsibilities
Tasks
-
Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment
-
Analyze test results and adjust, change or repair switching system, network, associated equipment and software
-
Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets
-
Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers

Adjust, align, replace or repair electronic equipment and assemblies
-
Utilize hand and power tools
-
Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations

Inspect and test electronic equipment and assemblies

Diagnose and locate circuit, component and equipment faults

Determine layout and installation procedures

Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports
