Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Work setting: Installation. Maintenance. On-site customer service. Rural area. Testing. Service. Tasks: Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment. Analyze test results and adjust, change or repair switching system, network, associated equipment and software. Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets. Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers. Adjust, align, replace or repair electronic equipment and assemblies. Utilize hand and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations. Inspect and test electronic equipment and assemblies. Diagnose and locate circuit, component and equipment faults. Determine layout and installation procedures. Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports. Prepare cost estimates. Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Community Antenna Television Technician Trade Certification. A+ Certification. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Type of service and repair: Photocopiers. Computers and peripherals. Alarm/security system. Computer and technology knowledge: Trunking system. Computerized testing system. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel.
