*Job Overview* We are seeking a skilled Insulator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing insulation materials in various structures to enhance energy efficiency and comfort. This role requires a strong understanding of insulation techniques and the ability to work with various materials and tools. The Insulator will collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure that projects are completed on time and meet quality standards. Qualified candidates will work either in Fort McMurray, AB or Kitmat, BC. *Qualifications* * Journeyman Insulator in Alberta, or a Red Seal Certificate (With proven hours at the Journeyman level). * Fourth year insulator with over 6,500 hours. * Confined Space is mandatory. * Strong commitment to safety. Individuals will be expected to adhere to safe work practices and safety philosophy. * Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. * Must be knowledgeable in various types of insulation used in an industrial area. *Duties* * Install insulation in walls, ceilings, and floors according to specifications and building codes. * Measure, cut, and fit insulation materials using hand tools and power tools. * Apply, remove and repair thermal and acoustical insulation on all types of industrial equipment. * Apply caulking to seal gaps and improve insulation effectiveness. * Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine insulation requirements for each project. * Select the amount and type of insulation to be installed, as well as confirm the method of ensuring the insulation depending on the specifications of the structure. * Install vapour barriers and finish insulated surfaces by applying metal cladding, canvas, PVC or cement. * Ensure that all work is performed safely and in compliance with industry regulations. * Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment. *Skills* * Proficiency in caulking techniques for sealing gaps effectively. * Experience with drywall installation and finishing. * Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in insulation installation. * Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. * Knowledge of building codes related to insulation installation. * Knowledge in various types of insulation used in an industrial area. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
